Rodney (all of his friends call him Rod but I wont go there…) is a hot little gymnast boy. I hadnt met him for two minutes before he had been performing the breaks right before me.I thought to myself,”this will be fascinating! “Hes a school man and he claims that he hasnt done gymnastics in a while. I think hes actually currently on a collegiate group and didnt want to let on for fear that doing filthy films might interfere. Just my opinion.Video work with this guy was just a breeze. We had him at the playground, smiling and performing backflips. We had him in the SUV, smiling and showing off his balls. We had him in the studio, grinning and doing… well, splits.Oddly enough, however, once the still camera came out that the smile disappeared. He got this worried”deer-in-the-headlights” look every time I held the camera up to shoot. “OK, relax your head and give me a smile,” he advised him. Click. What I got looked like a cheesy high school yearbook photo. “No, youre doing great but just relax and give me a really wonderful small smile.” Click. Another uncomfortable grin.So I stopped and asked him why he wasnt familiar with the camera. Turns out hes one of those hot men who doesnt know hes sexy and hasn’t been comfortable with his picture taken. Go figure.So we did a little face exercises (really!) And finally got a cocky, boy-next-door look that functioned for him.At any pace, his versatility is pretty damn impressive and so are really, really hoping that we are able to put it to good use! |
